How I Got Here

I started my fundraising career quite literally on the ground - canvassing for the Human Rights Campaign and raising $10 at a time. During my summers in college, I hit the pavement, learning firsthand how to connect with people, tell a compelling story, and inspire action. Those early days fueled my passion for philanthropy and led me to Washington, D.C., where I set out to explore where impact meets action.

In D.C., I honed my skills as a professional fundraiser, working with esteemed organizations like the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Capital Area Food Bank, and the National Fund for Workforce Solutions. Since then, I’ve spent over a decade securing transformational, seven-figure gifts from some of the most influential donors in the field- including Walmart, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Arnold Ventures, and more.

Fundraising is more than just securing funding - it requires a deep understanding of organizational strategy, finance, and the issue at hand. As a fundraiser, I’ve become a pseudo-subject matter expert across a range of critical issues, from arts and culture to food insecurity, health equity, and corporate philanthropy. Now, as a consultant, I bring that expertise to nonprofits, corporate foundations, and mission-driven organizations, helping them craft sustainable fundraising strategies, build high-impact partnerships, and maximize philanthropy for meaningful change.

When I’m not helping organizations strengthen their fundraising efforts, you can find me gardening, playing pickleball (like every millennial), exploring Denver’s growing food scene, dreaming up another trip to Asia, or defending the merit of Bravo’s slew of content.
